She is a Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with the NCCAOM and also a Board Certified Massage Therapist. Additionally, she currently serves as the Academic Dean at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies and holds the rank of Associate Professor. She has a diverse and extensive education in the Healing Sciences and holds a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University. She holds both a Doctor of Acupuncture degree and a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Won Institute of Graduate studies where she graduated Valedictorian of her class. Dr. Leidy is also certified in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Rowan University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She owns and operates Acupuncture For Life, a private acupuncture practice in the North Penn area of Montgomery County, PA. She specializes in the treatment and management of pain. Licensed AcupuncturistDr. Janet Leidy is a licensed acupuncturist who is a board certified diplomate in acupuncture with the NCCAOM. She currently serves as the Acupuncture Studies Department Chair, Assistant Professor, and full time faculty member at the WON Institute of Graduate Studies. She has an extensive background in both the teaching and practice of Bodywork and the Healing Sciences. In 2002, she founded the National Academy of Massage Therapy & Healing Sciences where she served as Campus Director and Director of Massage Therapy Education from 2002-2010. She sold the massage school to the Lansdale School of Business, an accredited junior college in North Wales, PA. Dr. Leidy has a Doctor of Health Science degree from NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she completed her capstone research on acupuncture and weight loss. She has a Masters in Acupuncture Studies from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Glenside, PA where she graduated as class valedictorian. Dr. Leidy recently completed her Chinese Herbal Medicine Certification and is currently pursuing her National Board Certification. She plans to offer Chinese Herbal Medicine treatments at her office in the near future.
